The guys in the Japan division of Panasonic have just announced their latest creation in the shape of the Panasonic SC-HTR110 home theater TV stand, a nifty piece of multimedia technology to let you enjoy great audio with small space expenses. Panasonic have developed the SC-HTR110 especially for their latest Viera TV series, but it's obvious you can use this great piece of multimedia furniture with pretty much any other flatscreen TV.

The Panasonic SC-HTR110 is capable to carry a TV set weighing as much as 176 lbs (almost 80 kg) and this means you can use it as a base for some of the biggest screens available in stores.

Now, the coolest thing about this stand is that it comes loaded with a no-nonsense Dolby Digital and DTS decoder and runs with the Dolby Virtual Speaker technology, capable to deliver exquisite audio even with the newest and most demanding home cinema standards. And as if such serious engineering was not enough (and it seems it wasn't, actually), the Panasonic engineers have endowed the SC-HTR110 with both analog and optical digital inputs, HDMI inserts and a HDMI output for even more versatility.

More than being just another home theater stand in the shops, the Panasonic SC-HTR110 comes with some additional features you'll not meet in other similar gear; one of the coolest ones is that you get various sound modes based on the kind of TV show you're watching: this way, you'll get more realism with your live sports events, while the cinema classics will sport a warmer soundtrack with better dialog detail, all for your great multimedia experience.

This home theater stand comes with dual 5.1" woofers and 2.6" fullrange drivers for a hefty power level exceeding 200W and being more than satisfying for a decent living room especially as you don't want to have it crowded up with 6 or more speakers. The Panasonic SC-HTR110 will start shipping in April, but there is no word yet on pricing.
