Announced back in October, the Panasonic GM1 was recently released in Singapore where the Japanese manufacturer also showcased a few alternate body designs featuring some unique leather textures resembling snake skin, according to Hardwarezone.

The Panasonic GM1 uses the same state-of-the-art sensor as Panasonic's GX7 model packed in the smallest Micro Four Thirds camera body on the market.

At this event, Panasonic announced that if any of the showcased models proved popular among the crowd, it's very likely that they would reach actual production.

In addition to that, at the same event, Panasonic showcased three of their upcoming lenses: the Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7, Lumix G Vario 35-100mm and Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2, all to be released next year.

With a body of the same size as a poker card, Panasonic GM1 became the world's smallest MFT camera that manages to pack some pretty impressive features.

The GM1 has a magnesium alloy body and comes with a 16-megapixel resolution image sensor capable of 5 frames per second in continuous shooting mode. The camera is also capable of capturing 1080p Full HD video footage at 30fps.

In addition to that, the GM1 has an ISO sensitivity ranging from 125 to 25,600, which makes it perfect for low light photography and more artistic work.

The back of the camera features a 3-inch 1036k-dot multi-touch capable LCD screen that allows you to perform various tasks like pan or zoom in/out.

Panasonic GM1 also comes with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity that offers you a more flexible shooting experience and allows you to share your images via Wi-Fi almost instantly.

The Panasonic GM1 along with the Lumix G Vario 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 lens kit will hit store shelves in Singapore in the first half of December at a price of S$999 / $800 / €600.
