Panasonic, the famous Japanese company, has announced the commercial availability of a new accessory that allows users to make and receive mobile calls from and on a landline
phone.

The accessory is called Link to Cell KX-TH1211 and, by using advanced technology, it can easily connect a cell phone that supports Bluetooth to a cordless home phone. This way, when inside the house, users can benefit of increased comfort and improved signal reception, while at the same time preserving their cell phones' battery life.

Link to Cell KX-TH1211 can support not one, but even two cell phones, and comes with features like call blocking, Talking Caller ID and Night Mode.

Talking about the new accessory, Bill Birnie, Marketing Director, Communications Solutions Group, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, said, "We recognize that people value their cell phones as a key point of communication, but using it at home is often inconvenient, especially when they reach dead spots with no coverage. Perfect for the millions of consumers who have eliminated their landline, Link to Cell provides a sleek, yet comfortable handset and a base that can

be placed where cell coverage in the home is strongest. Using Bluetooth to connect the cell phone to the base, Link to Cell is a solution that connects mobile and home technologies, bringing out the best features in both."

Although Link to Cell KX-TH1211 was first announced back in January, being scheduled for a March release, Panasonic has only now made the accessory available. Those who are interested in the new Link to Cell can find it at retail prices of around $99.95 (65 Euro). For this price, Panasonic has also included a cordless handset, in case users don't have one at home. Customers can get the "expanded KX-TH1212", which comes with two of the above-mentioned handsets. Moreover, if you want extra handsets, they are available for 39.95 each.
