Designed to provide consumers with a choice for a rugged tablet computer, ready to be used in extreme environments, the Toughbook H1 Field adopts a portable design and includes features that make it an ideal choice for portable computing.

“As workforces become more mobile, it’s critical to empower them with the right tools,” said Kyp Walls, director of product management, Panasonic Computer Solutions Company. “The Toughbook H1 Field was designed based on extensive customer input to ensure it had the right mix of form factor, features and durability to maximize worker productivity and value. With so many features that exceed the performance capabilities of competitive products, we believe the Toughbook H1 Field is best positioned to meet the computing needs of highly mobile workers, along with their IT administrators.”

At the core of this 10.4 tablet PC, there's an Intel Atom Z540 processor, clocked at 1.86GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM and a 64GB Solid State Drive. The unit measures 10.4” (L) x 10.6” (W) x 1.3” - 2.3” (H)” and weights in at about 3.4lbs. According to the company, the Toughbook H1 Field is MIL-STD-810G certified, IP65 certified and comes with a magnesium alloy chassis encased in polycarbonate.
