Lingerie company Panache is out to revolutionize sports garments for good, by creating a sports bra that cuts down bounce by 65 percent. The new product costs £35 and will become available soon.

Unlike other products of the kind, this sports bra doesn’t just flatten the breast in a bid to prevent it from bouncing during sports activities, but actually offers plenty of support for it, the Daily Mail writes.

Designed by Clare Fallon and put through its paces – and extensive testing – at the Loughborough Sports Technology Institute in Leicestershire, the bra is specifically made for women with ample cleavage, who need the best support they can get when they’re working out.

Fallon realized that these ladies don’t need a sports bra that flattens them out because that has zero impact on the dreaded bounce.

So, she came up with this product, which she compares to two actual hands holding the breasts in place and preventing movement from all sides.

She designed it and the researchers did their job to see if it actually worked as promised. As it turns out, it did.

“During their research they monitored the breast movement of a 32E model on a treadmill using 3D motion sensors. The results found the bra reduced bounce by 83 per cent, compared with a 65 per cent cut by rivals,” the Mail says of the new product.

It comes to answer a real need: a previous Panache survey revealed that a whopping 42 percent of women feel they don’t have an adequate sports bra, which often leaves them in pain after working out.

“It is was probably the hardest bra that I have ever had to design because there were so many elements to it. Most people think designing a bra is just cutting out two triangles and sewing them together – they don’t realize just how much technical work goes into it,” Fallon said of the product.

The new Panache sports bra will be out in stores in October this year.
