Pamela Anderson's sexy number was cut from the Elton John television special.
The American TV giant NBC considered the pole-dancing scene performed by the animal-loving actress inappropriate and removed it from 'Elton John: The Red Piano', a Las Vegas extravaganza taped at Caesars Palace, which was broadcast Monday night.
The critics have received the uncensored copies, but the public was "protected" from hearing John singing "The Bitch is Back" as the former Playboy diva was dancing, wearing little more than pasties, white boots and a boa, due to the time slot.
"We believed the content was not appropriate for 8pm-7 central time and decided to pull the song from the special," NBC said in a statement Tuesday.
The audience had the chance to watch the Elton John classics including Daniel and Rocket Man, as well as another big-screen video featuring Justin Timberlake as a young Elton...
Until now, there was no word from either Pamela Anderson or Elton John regarding their position on NBC's edits.
