Pamela Anderson Slams J-Lo for Wearing Fur

Pamela Anderson continues PETA's anti-fur campaign.
The former Baywatch star has slammed famous singers Jennifer Lopez and Sean "Diddy" Combs for wearing fur.

Anderson, who has been supporting the actions of animal rights activists People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), insists that fur manufacturers are lavishing pelts on "clueless celebrities" hoping to promote a comeback, according to femalefirst.co.uk

"It amazes me that some designers still turn animals into fashion victims", Anderson said.
"They're desperate for a fur 'comeback' so they throw their pelts at any clueless celebrity, like Diddy or J.Lo, who'll wear whatever is free. () I've written to them all to say that these animals are dying in agony - all for a tacky coat that makes you look like Bigfoot", the former Playboy star added.

"Seriously, a fur coat just adds 20 years and 20 pounds to you, and if you get rained on you smell like a wet dog", Anderson concluded.

Pamela Anderson and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals started this autumn a special campaign in China regarding animal cruelty, this country being the leading fur producing nation.

PETA, in collaboration with China Telecom, have printed 70,000 cards, which feature the slogan "Give fur the cold shoulder" in English and show Pamela nearly naked, with her back to the camera and an arm partly hiding her right breast.

In the background, an image of falling snow appears above Chinese characters reading "Cold shoulders are nothing compared to the pain they feel" and "Please don't wear fur."

According to PETA, China has no laws regarding the raising or killing of the animals. Recent studies show that animals are raised in squalid conditions and killed in brutal ways, including having their pelts removed while still breathing, according to the Associated Press.

"The people of China deserve to know about the immense suffering of animals killed for their fur," Anderson was quoted as saying in a PETA statement.

"Once people know that animals are electrocuted, drowned, bludgeoned to death and sometimes skinned alive, they realize fur is disgusting and that there's nothing luxurious or fashionable about it", she explained.

PETA has previously slammed fur-lover Jennifer Lopez, who has also confessed she eats a bucket of KFC chicken after every concert.

"Is there not an ounce of compassion in this woman? It's no surprise that J.Lo would eat KFC", a PETA spokesperson has reportedly said.

Pamela needs to first develop a firm moral stance on how she feels about animals and put their needs ahead of her own self vested interest. How dare her use animals as a way to get media exposure when her silicon implants have been tested on animals!

Take those out Pamela, stop wearing make up and then, just maybe, we may believe you are doing this for the animals and not free self promotion using animals.

I am soooooooooo anti_pamela_anderson!

i dont agree with the comment below. she is trying to help animal abuse, by being part of the anti fur campaign, whether you like her or not, she doesnt wear it and it also a good influence on people who do like her not to wear it. i also dont agree with peta slamming her for eating meat. its called a food cycle and whether you choose to eat or not is your own choice, as long as the animal has been treated and killed humanely. a lot of make up etc is not tested on animals these days, not all , but most. i eat meat, but am against animal abuse
