Actress Pamela Anderson is now asking that people help save tigers from going extinct by offering their support to a campaign started by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.

The campaign in question is dubbed TigerTime, and its purpose is to raise money to promote conservation projects in Russia, India and Thailand.

More precisely, the funds obtained in this manner serve to support anti-poaching patrols and carry out undercover investigations.

Investments are also made in educating the public with respect to the need to protect the world's remaining tiger population.

According to Look to the Stars, Pamela Anderson decided to offer her support to this campaign after learning that, presently, just 3,200 tigers are left in the wild.

“I was absolutely shocked to learn that there are only 3,200 tigers left in the wild,” the actress reportedly said in a statement.

“Please join me in backing this important initiative so that we can make sure these magnificent creatures never go extinct!” she added.

Paul McCartney, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Fry are just some of the other celebs and public figures who have thus gar agreed to get behind this initiative.
