Pamela Anderson is a single woman again: she and husband Rick Salomon, whom she married for the second time in 2014, have finally reached an understanding and are now officially divorced.

Their relationship was tumultuous from the start, but things really took a turn for the worst this year, amid claims that she’d taken his favorite dog hostage as leverage in the divorce, and a series of very mean comments from both.

They have finally reached an understanding, and Pamela walks away $1 million (€893,862) richer from the failed marriage, TMZ reports.

Pam and Rick reach an agreement after months of bickering

Pamela first filed the divorce papers after just 6 months of marital “bliss,” but she withdrew them in early 2015, as she and Rick had decided to give their relationship another try. They had been married before, in 2007, but they had that one annulled together.

This time, things wouldn’t be as easy. The second time Pamela filed the divorce papers, Rick fought back, filing papers asking for an annulment on the grounds that she had defrauded him.

Rick Salomon, we should add, is a very famous and very rich professional poker player, and also the co-star in Paris Hilton’s infamous “One Night in Paris” tape.

Pamela, on the other hand, has been struggling financially for a very long time, not once coming near to being legitimately bankrupt. So when she contested the prenup she had signed on her second trip down the aisle with Rick, not many were surprised.

That was only the beginning though. First, Salomon claimed that she’d taken his favorite dog hostage and that she was holding it under threat that he would never see it again, not if he didn’t do as she bade him.

Then, she started leaking emails and text messages from Salomon, in which he called her names and used abusive language towards her, and reports that he could not perform his husbandly duties. In response, Rick released his own messages from Pam that proved their relationship had been passionate and loving, without a sign of trouble until more recently.

Pam gets the money, issues apology with Rick

Just as signs hinted that the divorce would become even nastier, TMZ confirms that an understanding has been reached. Pamela gets some money in the divorce, and it’s understood that she won’t challenge his Nevada residency anymore.

She’d previously accused him of dodging taxes on his $40 million (€35.75 million) earnings from poker, by claiming he was a resident of Nevada, when he was really a California resident.

Pamela and Rick have also issued a joint statement to apologize for their behavior during the divorce proceedings.

“Public divorces can be harsh and cruel - we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused - we have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on. There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well,” they say.

As they say, all’s well that ends well.
