The smartphone Treo 650 is now available in China

Palm, in cooperation with CEC Telecom Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Qiao Xing Universal Telephone, Inc announced the launch of the award-winning Palm Treo 650 smartphone in China. Treo 650 brings the Palm mobile-solutions experience to Chinese consumers and businesses with its full-featured GSM/GPRS/EDGE quad-band phone, Palm OS organizer, messaging, e-mail and web access capabilities in a compact design.

The smartphone Treo 650 uses the powerful Palm OS platform and is supported by more than 400,000 developers worldwide. Organizations across various industries - from healthcare and government to hospitality and financial services - have leveraged vertical applications built for the Treo 650 to boost productivity, streamline processes and tasks, and gain competitive advantage. In addition, Palm OS applications include a large range of personal and entertainment software choices such as databases, word processors, spreadsheets, travel maps, language translators, games, eBooks and video. The Treo 650 incorporates the Intel 312MHz PXA27x processor, designed to enhance multimedia performance.
