Palm Treo Pro goes to Bell Mobility in Canada

Canadian users will be able to enjoy new handsets from the country' largest CDMA carrier, Bell Mobility, which has recently added the Palm Treo Pro to its offering. The new handset is targeted mainly at business users that need a powerful device to satisfy all their needs.

The Palm Treo Pro smartphone runs under Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system, comes with email, Wi-Fi, GPS, web and CDMA EV-DO Rev., network capabilities, Integrated GPS, and is able to offer business people all the features they'd need, while also delivering a powerful, yet effortless, mobile experience.

“Treo Pro is a perfect fit for the busy business professional or casual user who needs on-the-go access to business tools or their personal email,” John Traynor, vice president, business products, Palm, Inc., says. “Treo Pro’s capabilities, including Wi-Fi and GPS, ensure users can be highly responsive, available and productive with a powerful yet effortless mobile experience.”

The handset comes with a high-resolution color touchscreen, one-touch buttons and a full QWERTY keyboard, can open ZIP files, edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents and view PowerPoint presentations and PDFs. It also includes a one-touch Wi-Fi button, dedicated email and calendar keys, as well as a voicemail indicator.

The Palm Treo Pro on Bell Mobility is also able to offer users features like the Microsoft Direct Push Technology, the Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008, a wide range of applications developed for the Windows Mobile operating system, and the built-in Internet Explorer Mobile.

According to the mobile phone carrier, Palm Treo Pro is available for a limited-time price of $99.95, upon the signing of a three-year contract with Bell Mobility.
