Taunting, but only a mockup

A new Palm Treo model might just be on its way to hit the market, as we now have a clue on how it looks like too. Hints on how the 800w model looks like have surfaced over the past period, although the producer has made no official statement on the handset and there is little certainty on just how real the new image is.

The leaked picture certainly shows a smartphone with features similar to those of other devices from Palm's lineup. Still, it's not one coming from the producer, although many people might be thrilled over an official leak related to this device.

Some specifications on Palm Treo 800w have also been revealed, showing a powerful handset, capable of earning a good spot on the market. It runs on Windows Mobile, just as most evolved smartphones have and also comes with a dedicated key for it. The display screen is rather large, with an impressive resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. Images and videos will display perfectly on this square resolution, making it an easy to handle device, all in all.

The QWERTY keypad is nothing to look past, either. Palm Treo 800w has high chances of becoming another one of those evolved devices that will be perfect for managing work even when outside the office and also for handling a large number of media files. It's still not clear just how powerful this device is, as the producer has offered no clear facts on it.

Rumor has it that Palm Treo 800w should drop at Sprint, as it is a CDMA handset most suitable for this carrier. The new handset has high chances of being released at the middle of 2008, although this is also an estimated date, with little accuracy and no promises coming from the producer.
