Little upgrades when compared to Palm Treo 700

Palm has finally launched the Treo 755p smartphone. This device has been expected for long, although it is not sure whether it will manage to convince people that it was worth the wait.

Palm Treo 755p's design may not be the most appealing of all, but it proves to be highly functional. This smartphone is actually an upgraded version of the Palm Treo 700, which has been available for a year now. If compared to the other phone models coming from this company, it fails to bring anything new or revolutionary when it comes to performances.

Palm Treo 755p comes with a 321 Mhz Xscale processor and a 128MB internal memory. Moreover, it also has a miniSD expansion slot, although the maximum memory that it supports has not been specified.

When compared to devices with similar functions, Palm Treo 755p turns out to be quite large and not so easy to handle. At its 113 x 59.3 x 21.3 mm in size and 160 grams, this smartphone is large and unattractive when compared to similar models. Along with the unappealing appearance, this feature also might narrow the list of people who might want one.

This smartphone has a 2.2 inch display to pride with, although it is not out of the ordinary. Still, the fact that it supports a 320 x 320 pixels and is actually a TFT touchscreen proves to be an important advantage.

Other features of the Palm Treo 755p smartphone include a 1.3 megapixel camera which is capable of performances above average. The fact that it is also capable of video support is quite convenient, although such a feature should have been standard.

All in all, Palm Treo 755p is supposed to efficiently replace a computer and its functions. Still, several other devices might prove to be a solution just as good and sometimes even better. The handset is available for purchase from Palm for the price of USD280.
