Windows Mobile 5 is so yesterday…a lot of time has passed since the latest version of this operating system has been released. Palm Treo 750 will be one of the lucky mobile phones to get back in line with some strong competitors that already had it installed.
The handset already made this step in Australia and will do it in the US as well. This is only one of the great number of evolved devices
that manage to diminish the drawback of having a less evolved software on a hardware with high potential.
Palm Treo 750 has been unveiled at the beginning of year 2007. This gave it a poor start right from the beginning, as there was already a huge number of smartphones running on the latest Windows Mobile version.
The device is more of an average
phone that should make it possible for users to take care of work even when outside the office and also handle their personal life. At the dimensions of 111 x 58 x 22 mm and 154 grams, the phone is both bulky and heavy. This should take it out of the race against all those slim devices that continue to appear. Add a surpassed operating system version and then there will be no reason to wonder why sales are low.
Palm managed to upgrade the Treo 750 to the sixth version of Windows Mobile using its 300 MHz processor. Moreover, the improved software will also make it possible for users to charge through USB and leave aside the old fashioned system. The only problem with this new upgrade is that it will not be available for AT&T subscribers, but only for unsubsidized such
smartphones.
Those interested in upgrading their Palm Treo 750 to the latest operating system version will have to head to Palm's website and download it after providing the handset's serial number for verification.
