Leading provider of mobile games EA Mobile has recently announced, in partnership with Sunnyvale-based mobile phone maker Palm, that handset users in the UK who own a Palm Pre device are now able to enjoy three free titles from the company. EA Mobile has made the games available for Palm Pre owners in the UK as a celebration of the imminent release of the full range of App Catalog solutions for the handset, it seems.

The games are available now for all Palm Pre devices on O2's network in the UK and Ireland, and can be downloaded for free until the end of March. The titles included in the offering are Need for Speed Undercover, The Sims 3 and Monopoly for the Palm Pre, all of which are meant to leverage the 3D capabilities the Palm Pre now comes with.

As for what the games can offer, here are short descriptions of each of them:
- Need for Speed Undercover
Chase or be chased in this fast paced game of pursuit and betrayal. The cops are back like never before - win and collect the world's fastest cars.
- Monopoly
Play the original best-selling board game where you can own it all. Shake your device to "roll" the 3D dice. Tap the screen to manage properties. Customize the number of players and if you're feeling more competitive challenge friends with Pass 'n Play.
- The Sims3
Based on the number one PC game franchise of all time, the Sims 3 brings exciting new game play and endless possibilities to your Palm Pre Enjoy unexpected moments of surprise and mischief.

All that users interested in one of the three titles need to do is to head over to the App Catalog on their devices, search for the games and then download them for free. However, one should take into consideration the fact that the games come in considerably large packages, and that downloading them over a Wi-Fi connection is the best option, and Palm itself recommends users to do so.
