Palm Pre 2, the first mobile phone HP announced as heading to the market with its new HP webOS 2.0 mobile OS on board, should make an appearance in the US in the near future, as it already passed through FCC's hallways.

It appears that there are three different Palm Pre 2 models that HP would get out of its front door, including a device aimed at developers, as well as one for SFR France and one for Verizon Wireless in the United States.

We already had the chance to take a look at a Pre 2 model passing through FCC a few weeks ago, and now the other two models have made the same move.

The handset was spotted at FCC with P102UNA model number attached to it, which suggests that it would arrive on the North American continent with GSM / UMTS, as well as with a P102EWW model number, which points towards CDMA connectivity.

The P102 part in the model number is said to show that we're looking at Palm Pre 2, while the EWW and UNA parts show the type of radios the device would support.

It appears that the device won't come with support for T-Mobile USA's network in the end, as there's no mentioning of AWS capabilities, as Engadget notes in a recent article.

Announced officially on Tuesday, the new Palm Pre 2 smartphone should come with the same form factor and looks as the original Pre, though it would pack various enhancements under the hood.

One of them would be the inclusion of a faster processor, clocked in at 1GHz, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR with A2DP, and 16GB of internal memory space, with USB mass storage support.

Measuring 59.6 x 100.7 x 16.9mm and weighing in at 145 grams, the new device also comes with support for various email and messaging features, in addition to GPS capabilities, and more.

According to some of the latest rumors around the Internet, we should see the phone launched on Verizon on November 11th, but nothing was unveiled officially on the matter.
