Palm has just released the Foleo smartphone, an excellent solution for those that would like to reduce the size of their PC as to carry it everywhere. Their device is based on the concept that mobile computing is the future technological breakthrough.

Foleo is the first smartphone companion product that Palm has ever released. At first, it might look like a

laptop, but its small sizes give it away in no time. Any modifications made on the Palm companion appear in the smartphone and the other way around, as they are interdependent. The two devices stay synchronized all day long or only when the user wishes.

The Foleo mobile companion comes with a large screen and a full keyboard that can be used in order to view and edit emails as well as any other documents that are stored on the paired smartphone. The most appealing aspect about this device is the compact design that makes it considerably easy to handle. Moreover, the battery lasts up to 5 hours of continuous use.

Palm Foleo companion is capable of a wide range of actions that might prove to be highly useful. It allows Internet browsing, sending emails, which make a great advantage for obtaining fast, reliable information. Even more, it allows its user to work on common business documents, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files.

Foelo is capable of connecting through Blutooth wireless technology. For the Internet connection, this device uses the paired smartphone's radio for the companion's Wi-Fi built-in radio.

This mobile solution coming from Palm is designed especially for businessmen that need the services of a portable computer, but are not willing to carry a large device throughout the day.

The Palm Foleo companion smartphone has been announced for release sometimes during this summer, for the price of USD500.
