Palm Centro Goes to Canada on Bell Mobility

Palm Centro goes to Canada

Palm, Inc. has announced that its small and lightweight Palm Centro smartphone is now available for Canadian users on Bell Mobility's high-speed mobile network. Palm's Centro has been sold worldwide in over two million units, and now it comes to Canada with a soft-touch Midnight Black design, as well as with 128MB of available memory, Facebook for Palm, and Google Maps support, which also includes the My Location feature.

“Centro is the best example of a user-friendly smartphone that's both fun and easy to use,” said Brodie Keast, senior vice president of marketing for Palm, Inc. “Centro's sleek and lightweight design makes it perfect for first-time smartphone users who want voice, text, email, web, contact and calendar capabilities all wrapped into one compact device.”

Centro comes with a stylish design meant to feel comfortable in hand, while its functionality includes email and text messaging capabilities, calendar, news updates, picture sharing, as well as Google Maps with My Location feature support. Other specs include a full QWERTY keyboard, a chat-style view for conversations over instant messaging, connectivity with Facebook for Palm contacts, Microsoft Direct Push Technology for corporate email, as well as multimedia capabilities.

Palm Centro also includes a nice range of pre-installed software, including Bluetooth, Calculator, Calendar, Camcorder, Camera, Contacts, Documents To Go Professional Edition 10, Email (VersaMail 4.0), HotSync, Memos, Messaging, My Centro, Phone, Pics and Video, Pocket Tunes, Quick Tour, Tasks, Voice Dial, Voice Memo, Web (Blazer 4.5), and World Clock.
