Palm's App Catalog has welcomed yet a new wave of applications this week, including a series of games and some weather apps. Although the company already admitted to being overwhelmed by the large number of applications that have been submitted to be included in the software portal, it seems that it still manages to deliver the goods to its users.

According to PreCentral, nine of the 14 new applications have already been seen in the Homebrew collection of software solutions, yet it still comes as good news that Palm is working on extending the number of apps available with the storefront. One a side note, we should say that rumors regarding the paid App Catalog proved false in the end. September 24 has come and gone and the expected feature hasn't made an appearance yet.

The list of new apps available for owners of a Palm Pre device includes m:Vampire, m:Mafia, GolfPinFinder Demo, Guitarist’s Reference, YPmobile For Palm Pre, Greeting Card Messages, bWeather, SNAKE, Go To Tool Lite, Tic Tac Toe for WebOS, FreeWeather, Photo Fun – Spot The Missing Pieces (Free), Photo Fun – Spot The Difference (Free), TMaps – Philly.

Other software solutions for the Pre are also available, including a syncing solution for the Palm Pre and Windows PCs, The Missing Sync for Palm Pre. The software solution has been released previously for Mac computers, yet now it is also available for those Pre owners that have a computer running under Microsoft's Windows operating system.

There are still a few things that need to be improved, as the synchronization only works from the PC to the Pre, yet the solution is here, and that alone should make some people rejoice. “Synchronize contacts automatically, via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Copy your Outlook calendars to your Pre phone wirelessly too. Transfer and sync music, ringtones, photos, files, and videos fast with a USB cable,” are some of the features it delivers. The Missing Sync for Palm Pre is priced at $39.95, and can be purchased from the developer's website here.
