Palm's Treo 750 is currently available from mobile operators in the US as well as Europe and Asia Pacific. A rather large number of customers can now benefit from the Windows Mobile 5 powered device, and it's all about to get even better for them, as Palm has announced that an update to the Windows Mobile 6 OS will become available for the handheld.

For US carrier At&t's customers this will also mean HSDPA capability allowing faster download speeds on 3G/HSDPA networks. The Treo 750 sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, 240 x 240 pixel touchscreen, Bluetooth with A2DP profile, 60MB internal memory expandable via a MiniSD slot and a QWERTY keypad that makes email and document composing much more convenient.

The five-band world phone combines phone functionality with email, messaging, web browsing and organizer capabilities and the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 will further help the Treo 750 become a success in the business market. The color touchscreen the Treo 750 comes equipped with will allow customers to take full advantage of the new versions of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point for mobile. Paired with Exchange Server 2007, Windows Mobile 6 will also deliver email enhancements such as HTML-formated email messages or the ability to set an out-of-office message.

"Palm continues to work closely with Microsoft to maximize the benefits of Windows Mobile and to deliver the best mobile experience to Treo customers," said Joe Fabris, director of wireless solutions at Palm, Inc. "Our hallmark Palm experience combined with the benefits of Windows Mobile 6 on the Treo 750 will continue to deliver a great productivity tool for businesses across the country and around the world."
