A new animated series has debuted in Pakistan, fighting for women's right to education by introducing a female superhero that fights crime by throwing books at it.

The “Burka Avenger” is covered from head to toe while going on rescue missions. She also lives a double life as Jiya, a “mild-mannered teacher.”

The fact that she has a shy, “mannered” side might indicate that the overly conservative, mostly Muslim Pakistan is not ready for a strong female role model.

The ad above shows a schoolgirl being upset over her school closing down by orders of scary, large men with tacky gold chains.

The “Burka Avenger” sweeps in to defeat them and uses only books as her weapons. She is also a teacher at the little girl's school and she has awesome martial arts skills.
