The bombing of a Christian church in Pakistan yesterday has prompted a series of protests from Christian groups across the country.

The Pakistan Daily Times documents protests in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura and other large cities.

Two suicide bombers blew up the church in Peshawar, one entering the church while the second staying outside. The place of worship offered a free rice meal every Sunday, and it was packed.

81 people died and hundreds have been injured at the All Saints Church. Christians are currently a minority in Pakistan, representing about 4% of its population.

The leaders of major political parties, including the Awami National Party (ANP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement have expressed their condolences. Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has also reached out to the community in Peshawar.
