Paint.NET has received a brand new update this morning, so in case you’re running this photo editor right now, make sure you have a look at the latest version as soon as possible.

Still in alpha development stage, Paint.NET 4.0.5064.834 brings a number of changes on Windows computers, such as translation fixes and improvements addressing configuration saving bugs.

At the same time, arrow keys should now work correctly with the “Move” tool, while the bracket keys can now be used to adjust the brush size.

Last but not least, users were reporting that clicking on the taskbar image thumbnails did not work to activate the application, so this bug should also be fixed in this new version.

The app obviously offers support for all Windows versions on the market, so you can download Paint.NET 4.0.5064.834 Alpha 2 even if you’ve already made the move to the new Windows 8.1.
