It seems that Packard Bell has been just as diligently working on its newest display products, as its Maestro collection of monitors has now been revealed to have expanded by one.

Contrasting with Dell, who unleashed a complete collection of mobile and desktop systems for the business sector, Packard Bell revealed just one new product.

Basically, the company delivered its newest Full HD monitor that attempts to reach a sort of balance between performance, style and efficiency.

The product in question is dubbed Maestro 230 and utilizes LED backlights, W-LED backlights to be more precise.

It is a 23-inch widescreen panel with a so-called smooth look, the press release saying that it “stands out for its grace and sophistication.”

“Combining leading technology and superb functionality in an ultra-slim design, the new display also offers eco-friendly features and power-efficient performance,” says the company.

It has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, while the dynamic contrast ratio is a fairly impressive 12,000,000:1.

Additionally, the brightness is of 250 cd/m2, while the response time is a comfortable 5ms.

Furthermore, the energy efficiency earned the newcomer Energy Star 5.0 certification, as its can enable power saving of up to 68%.

Finally, for compatibility with various video boards and multimedia streaming devices, Packard Bell implemented a D-Sub, a DVI and an HDMI connector, “delivering exceptional high-definition viewing and top-quality uncompressed video when connected to a DVD player or gaming console.”

All the above are packed inside a glossy black frame with a transparent edge which sits on an sits on an asymmetrical stand with aluminum finish.

April is the earliest that one can expect sales to start, at which point those interested will have to be willing to part with $199. Needless to say, prices will vary depending on country and retailer.
