Packard Bell has just updated its product lineup with the new EasyNote TS11 laptop which targets consumers searching for an Intel Sandy Bridge powered multimedia system available at an affordable price point.

The notebook is based on the Huron River platform and thus features a second generation Intel Core processor paired together with a 6-series mobile PCH controller.

Users have the option of choosing between several Core i3 and Core i5 chips, starting with the 2.1GHz Core i3-2310M, all of them featuring a dual-core design.

These can be paired with 4GB of DDR3 system memory and the integrated HD 3000 graphics core found inside the Sandy Bridge CPUs is seconded by an Nvidia GeForce GT 520M discrete GPU with 512MB of DDR3 video buffer.

Nvidia's Optimus technology is also fully supported, so battery life won't take a hit when the discrete graphics isn't in use.

Speaking of battery life, Packard Bell's creation is available with a 6-cell power pack, which is rated at 4400mAh and that should be able to provide up to four hours of continuous use.

In terms of storage, the EasyNote TS11 notebook can be equipped with either a 500GB or a 640GB hard disk drive, while a DVD burner comes as standard.

Making our way through the rest of the specifications of the Packard Bell machine, we get to see that outside the regular Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, multi-format card reader and 1.3MB webcam, users also get an HDMI output as well as an optional high-speed USB 3.0 port.

All these are housed inside a stylish case that also includes a 15.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels.

The Packard Bell EasyNote TS11 has already become available for purchase in Europe and pricing starts at about 465 Euros, which makes it one of the cheapest Sandy Bridge Optimus-enabled notebooks in the market. (via Notebook Italia)
