A pack of wolves presently inhabiting the forests in northern Washington is to soon be killed by authorities, following complaints that the animals got into the habit of hunting the cattle one farmer had been allowed to graze on public land.

Although gray wolves in the US have just recently escaped extinction, following their being listed as an endangered species and treated as such, it seems that these predators have yet to learn how to co-exist with humans.

To make matter even more interesting, Bill McIrvine, the farmer whose cattle had been attacked by these animals, told members of the press that, “Radical environmental groups are conspiring to introduce wolves in order to force ranchers off public lands.”

Hopefully, more information on this topic will soon be made available.

What a vile lazy moocher. He takes from us taxpayers and then expects us to police his animals at the expense of these beautiful creatures. I hope the Gov't makes the protocols that would have kept his cattle alive a required part of the lease agreement. What a miserable moronic cretin. Bet he takes as many subsidies and handouts as he can glom onto then has the nerve to say "he don't want to gubmint innerference" Troll.

"Public lands" as in not belonging to this a*****e rancher. The land belongs to us not this individual rancher. He and the sharp shooters should be ashamed of themselves!

Maybe the farmer should fence in all his cattle if he is so worried about wolves which by the way were there long before his sorry * was . They are only searching for food as all animals do. Will he want all bears killed as well if one of them eat his cattle. The same cattle that he most likely raises to butcher and sell. I'm sure they are not his pets. What should we do to people who kill animals for food. And so it be known I am a hunter and fisherman but this kind of senseless killing is uncalled for .people like this man and the people who did the killing should get some common sense and see how wrong this kind of thing is. Wild creatures as well as household pets and even people do what they have to do to survive when in the wild. And this man is in the wild with the wolves and any other animal roaming around in the woods. This country is going to hell because no one respects anything anymore.
