PUIAS Linux 6.2, codenamed Pisa, is a custom Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution that has just been announced by Thomas Uphil.

Little is known about PUIAS Linux 6.2. The developer, Thomas Uphil, mentioned just the fact that the distro has been updated and that users who already have it installed should be able to update to it.

Uphil also said that if users would like to keep the computers at PUIAS Linux 6.1, they should consider either stopping their rsync daemon of the main mirror or creating the /etc/yum/vars/releasever file with content 6.1.

PUIAS Linux was started long before the CentOS operating system or other projects based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution. It is maintained by the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University in the USA.
