Naturally, the first things that comes to mind is dowloadable games

It seems that Sony, although tied up pretty bad with the PS3, still has surprises for PSP owners, as I found out today in a piece over at PSP Updates, via Evil Avatar, When you hear this, the first thing that will come to your mind is that Sony is finally launching that downloadable service for the PSP, as firmware upgrades 3.50 and 3.51 have been patched with an official ISO loader.

That's right, now stop running in circles across the living room and read the excerpt I took straight from the reporting site: "More news from the PSP homebrew front. Mathieulh has explained on the Devsgen PSP forums that Sony has included an official ISO loader in PSP firmware versions 3.50 and 3.51. The loader is called np9660.prx and will apparently let PSP users load ISO files off their memory sticks."

And yes, PSP Updates hints at the very same possibility that Sony might just allow PSP owners to finally be able to download some titles. Demos are already available for download, yes, but full titles... Anyway, it's logical really, as this feature alone is vital for a handheld these days. Come to think of it, I don't know why they didn't do it earlier. Then again, they didn't do anything yet - we'll just have to wait for confirmation, but yes, it would be the next logical step.

And since the company has indeed confirmed a downloadable service for PSP owners along with access to the PS3's PlayStation Store, who can think of anything else? As the reporting site also informs, French PSP news site PSP-Generation notes that Dark AleX and Mathieulh will also work their magic and patch the np9660.prx file, for PSP owners to be able to use it in custom firmware 3.51 OE.

That's just about it. Keep close for updates. There are going to be some, trust me.
