Daedalus PSP R10 is its name, emulating is its game

There's no console out there that hackers haven't screwed with and one of the most screwed of those is Sony's PSP. Earlier articles posted on almost every gaming site even revealed the PSP Hackers' identities and how each of them contributed to screwing up the PSP. Don't get me wrong, screwing up with a system's software isn't always that bad for owners, but it's not good either when it's done incorrectly.

But just when I thought that handheld hackers decided to leave Sony's system alone, this piece of new was posted by Hemos on Monday: ?Homebrew coders push the boundaries on the PSP again, StrmnNrmn has released a new version of his Nintendo 64 emulator for the PSP that has been confirmed to play Mario 64 at full speed on Sony's handheld. A full Compatibility listing is available with games such as Starfox64 playble too.? Its full name is Daedalus PSP R10 for v1.50+ Firmware or Daedalus PSP R10 for v1.00 Firmware, according to what users have and need with their PSP.

What is this world coming to? Nintendo games on Sony's PSP? First of all, out of pride alone I wouldn't play a Nintendo game on a Sony console, or vice versa. And then, if I'm going to mod my PSP for running different applications other than the Sony licensed ones, it certainly wouldn't be a Nintendo 64 game. But then again, Mario 64 was just an example. As the article says, hackers managed to create an N64 emulator, not just a software enabling PSP users to run Mario 64. I can just hear those Nintendo fans now: ?Oh, then I can play Donkey Kong too? Wow...radical!? Not! I can appreciate only one thing regarding this N64 emulating software for the PSP: they proved this too can be done, and did it. For this, congrats StrmnNrmn. Want it? Click HERE.
