Vicious Cycle Software announced that the company has officially joined the Sony Tools and Middleware program for "PSP" (PlayStation Portable). The company will offer its Vicious Engine toolset to developers and publishers of games for the "PSP" platform as a licensed middleware solution.

The company's Vicious Engine provides a comprehensive, easy-access suite of development tools that are accessible to all members of a software development
team, from artists to designers and engineers. It also helps developers and publishers meet the demands of shorter development cycles and tighter budgets by allowing the teams to concentrate on game content rather than core technology.

"We are thrilled to be part of the official SCEI Tools and Middleware program for "PSP". By completing this process, we are now able to offer and provide a complete "PSP" game development solution to others in the gaming community," said Eric Peterson, President of Vicious Cycle Software, Inc. "With the Vicious Engine, "PSP" developers can be extremely productive and focus on making quality content immediately instead of spending months developing a proprietary engine."
