14 DAY TRIAL // Sony has just confirmed that its traditional PlayStation Network Spring Fever promotion is making a comeback this year, bringing big discounts for indie titles on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, but also major price cuts for big triple-A franchises like Need for Speed, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, or BioShock.
For quite a few years, Sony has celebrated the arrival of spring with a special series of deals for fans but also for independent developers in need of exposure for their titles.
Spring Fever has returned in 2014 and once again celebrates indie games, only this time it includes titles for the PS3 as well as for the PS4, not to mention big discounts for triple-A franchises.
First up, for the next four weeks, two games will be released each week that should delight both PS3 and PS4 owners, especially those with PlayStation Plus subscriptions, who can take advantage of a 20% discount during their launch weeks.
Between March 4 and 10, Awesomenauts Assemble launches for PS4, alongside Master Reboot for PS3. Between March 11 and 17, TowerFall Ascension debuts for PS4, alongside Vessel for PS3. Between March 18 and 24, Steamworld Dig arrives on PS4 with Luftrausers for PS3. Last but not least, between March 25 and 31, Fez releases on PS4 and PS3, and its copy is available via Cross-buy for PS Vita as well.
Besides these pretty nifty games and discounts for Plus members, Spring Fever will also include price cuts for a different major franchise each week, so check out the full list below, via the PS blog.
