Sony's next-gen console will overtake Nintendo's device soon enough

Noted games industry analyst Michael Pachter believes that the PlayStation 4 will overtake the Wii U in terms of global sales by spring of this year, as Sony's next-gen console can easily beat Nintendo's device.

The Wii U came out back in 2012 and continues to struggle in terms of sales despite enjoying an already solid catalog of titles. Meanwhile, the PS4 came out last November and continues to launch in different countries to great success.

As such, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has told GamerFitNation that the PS4 is going to overtake the Wii U in terms of global sales by April or May, reaching over 6 or 7 million units sold worldwide.

If such a thing happens, it will once again put Nintendo in a very tricky position as its Wii U should be successful thanks to its earlier release and its array of games available on the market.
