Sony has confirmed that its PlayStation 4 console has broken through another major milestone in terms of sales, moving over 7 million units worldwide as of April 6, and over 20.5 million games as of April 13.

The PS4 was initially released in North America on November 15 and reached certain parts of Europe on November 29. Since then, the new console from Sony has slowly but surely been released in plenty of countries from around the world, reaching major sales figures despite Sony barely being able to keep up with demand.

Now, after confirming in March that over 6 million consoles have been purchased by customers, Sony has revealed a new set of figures, saying that over 7 million PS4 units have been sold to consumers worldwide as of April 6.

What's more, besides the great sales figures for the actual console, the games for it have also been selling really well, with over 20.5 million copies being purchased by PS4 owners both in retail stores and on the digital PS Store, as of April 13.

The momentum isn't showing signs of slowing down and, considering the PS4 is finally appearing in a constant stock at stores worldwide, you can bet that more and more gamers will start getting it.
