News about the PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.0 will appear soon, according to a new report, and the release date should happen immediately afterwards.

The PS4 is getting close to its 1-year anniversary in November, and for this fall season Sony confirmed some time ago that system software update 2.0 would appear with a wide array of fresh features for the popular home console.

Unfortunately, however, the Japanese company hasn't offered any other details about when the firmware might be available for download and what all the features that will be included in the update are.

However, a new report has just appeared online via the Twitter of Tidux, an insider who has leaked plenty of details about Sony plans and firmware ideas.

According to him, all the details about the PS4 firmware update 2.0 will be revealed "soon" and the system software will be made available for download immediately afterwards.

Unfortunately, he declines to say just what's going to be included in the new update.

According to previous statements, the new software brings forth the Share Play feature, which allows PS4 owners to allow friends to watch their gameplay and even take over the controls, as well as other long-awaited enhancements, like the YouTube app.
