A possible solution to the PlayStation 4 error message CE-34878-0 has just been offered by Sony for all those affected by the problem, recommending updates to the console's firmware and the actual game, not to mention other procedures.

The PlayStation 4 had a pretty smooth launch back in November, but there still are quite a few errors popping up from time to time, displaying mysterious codes that don't really have specific solutions.

More recently, a new type of error code, CE-34878-0, has begun appearing, apparently when save game data gets corrupted.

Sony has revealed that it's investigating the issue, and now a new solution has been revealed by the company, via IGN.

"If you are experiencing this ce-34878-0 error code, please close the application and then install the latest system software and game patch. If the error occurs again, initialize the PS4 system after back-up of the save data and please also submit any crash reports after re-booting your console when the error occurs."

It's unclear if this solution actually solves the error, so expect to hear more about it soon.
