It's official, SCEE announced the launch day of the PS3 console in PAL territories of Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia on 23rd March 2007.

Taking consumer demand into consideration, Sony will make available only the 60GB model for now and later on, the 20GB one if the demand asks for it. For the initial launch, one million units are scheduled for shipping.

Good titles as well, as everyone was expecting it's time for the PS3 to make a huge entrance. Titles like Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Genji: Days of the Blade, Formula One Championship Edition and Ridge Racer 7 are just a few of the titles available.

Let's not forget the world's leading third party publishers like Electronic Arts, Activision, Namco Bandai, Sega, Take 2, Ubisoft, Vivendi Universal, and Sony Online Entertainment, which will also bring a huge game list of all existing genre out there.

It doesn't stop here, the list of titles continues on PlayStation Network ranging from games like Tekken: Dark Resurrection and Gran Turismo HD Concept to brain teasers like Go! Sudoku and Go! Puzzle. Many of these are designed exclusively for the PS3 console in response to demand.

SCEE President, David Reeves went public with the launch details and made the following statement: "Following the hugely successful launches of PS3 in Japan and North America, we are absolutely delighted to be able to bring significant numbers of PS3 to the SCEE territories. To be able to launch with over 30 titles across every genre shows that this is our strongest launch line-up in the history of PlayStation, and is what PlayStation fans in Europe have been crying out for."

Surely, one of the many questions dying to be answered was: Why has the launch been delayed so long in Europe? Here's the long time waited answer coming from the same man: "When we announced the delay to the launch of PS3 in Europe we explained that it was due to difficulties in manufacturing the required number of blue laser diodes for the Blu-ray disc drive. The difficulty has now been resolved and we are targeting 1 million shipments of PS3 for the European launch on 23rd March."

Without a doubt, there are a million questions to be answered out there so here's a list of certain facts.

-PAL production has started in both Japan and China. -PS3 will come with a composite AVcable. An HDMI cable (3 meters), S Video cable and a Component AV cable will be available as a separate peripheral. -The 1 million units shipment is a certainty as mass production of blue laser diodes isn't a problem anymore. -Version 1.4 of software is going to be installed at launch, having the European PS3 pre-installed with version 1.5 at launch. A 1.6 version is expected to be released at the same time, or very close to the European launch. -Online gaming with the PlayStation Network is free. There is no charge to sign up and no charge for the community and communication services provided by PLAYSTATION Network. The PlayStation Store delivers free and premium exclusive content. The premium content will be billable. Each user is responsible for all applicable internet fees. Some services or features may require additional fees. It is not very difficult to use, simple step-by-step instructions will only require straight forward button presses. -You can talk with others during game play or have video chat via an Eye3, camera and head-set are sold separately.

As a response to the PlayStation fans all around the world, Sony launched over 30 titles across every genre in what made the strongest launch line-up in the history of PlayStation.
