Sony isn't working on such a solution for its cloud streaming service

Sony has confirmed that, as of right now, it has no plans to allow owners of retail PS3 games access to those same titles via its new PlayStation Now streaming service.

Sony impressed a lot of gamers yesterday when it finally confirmed its PlayStation Now streaming service, which promises at first to bring PS3 games to platforms like the PS4, PS3, or PS Vita via the cloud.

Immediately, some PS4 owners hoped that, if they owned a PS3 game on a disc, they would be able to verify it using their new console and get access, for free, to the PS Now streaming edition of that same title.

Unfortunately, according to Sony's John Koller, that isn't possible, at least right now.

When asked by CVG about such a system, he replied that this option isn't being analyzed by the company right now.

It's unclear if such a thing will be possible in the future or at least with digital PS3 games bought off of PSN.
