Crash Bandicoot was indeed among the downloadable titles

If you were waiting for your PSone games to be available for download via PS Store, your waiting has ended. Releasing their 1.7 firmware update, Sony said you could totally download and play PSone titles on your PS3. That was more difficult than expected as some users downloaded PSone titles yet they couldn't play them. Sony's finally cracked that nut as well, allowing you to re-download the non working titles for no extra charge.

Currently available titles on PlayStation Store today are: 2Xtreme, Crash Bandicoot, Destruction Derby, Jet Moto, Jumping Flash, MediEvil, Rally Cross, Syphon Filter, Tekken 2 and WipeOut, available for $5.99 each, as Next Generation says.

In a recent article of mine, entitled "PS3 Getting PSone Games - Enough is Enough!" I was expressing my discontent towards the fact that not only does the PS3 lack next-gen titles so much, but that everyone's making a big fuss out of nothing with the old games available via PSN and respectively PS Store.

Towards the end of the piece, I said: "Crash Bandicoot would be nice though? Are they making it available? No they're not." I was wrong. The list of titles above says that Crash Bandicoot is one of the titles available for download via PS Store. I really should apologize to Sony for making such a statement, but I have one more observation to make. It's more of a question really: That wouldn't be Crash Bandicoot 3, would it? I'm guessing that had it been Crash Bandicoot 3, the title would have been followed by two dots and the word Warped.

Oh well, I guess the original Crash will do...
