The latest build for PS3 Media Server is 1.71 and the new release brings to the table a wide array of modifications for the versions of the application for all supported platforms.
On Windows, the developer updated MEncoder and MPlayer to SB41 as well as ffmpeg to version 1.0. There is only one repair available for this platform and it addresses the problem with file permissions.
On Mac, the audio and subtitle defaults have been modified to accept anything and “fontconfig” component in MEncoder has been removed in order to improve subtitle compatibility.
Additional modifications include support for Samsung SMT-G7400, updating of other components, as well as adding options for render-specific file name formats.
