A new update for PS3 Media Server has emerged over the weekend. The new release brings to the table a slew of repairs and adds support for fresh hardware (D-link DSM-510) as well as the option to select and force the default renderer.
The change log for PS3 Media Server 1.53.0 lists fixes for the global custom MEncoder options as well as the startup for symlinked PMS.sh. Additional repairs refer to timeouts on Samsung 2012 TVs, which should no longer occur in this release.
Also new is the fact that, if the renderer does not have a maximum height/width specified, then the default will be 1920x1080.
On Linux, system-wide defaults are now loaded from /etc/skel if the user's profile is not found and JNA has been updated to support multiarch directories.
