Guess it's PlayStation Home that has to get the PS3 back on its feet

What, are you surprised or something? First of all, this is old news, so I'm sure most of you probably know about this, but hey, I have to do my job and report what the PS3 is missing out on. Sadly, Beautiful Katamari is one of many titles planned for a PS3 port and then canceled.

I picked up on the news via Evil Avatar, from Gaming-Age.com. They inform that Namco recently gave their list of games to be shown at E3, among which, the one below. Posted by the latter:

"Beautiful Katamari Release date: Fall 2007 Platform: Xbox 360"

Again, don't be surprised about this, the PS3 is not only losing more and more titles form third party publishers and developers going multiplatform with their games, but it's also losing loads of exclusives. That's right, PS3 exclusives are soon to be history. If you don't believe me, here's Chris Kohler, of Wired, who has recently put together the history of Sony's Lost Exclusive titles, explaining why the PS3 is doing so bad:

"What's Next? -- The two major remaining third-party exclusives for PlayStation 3 are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII. Konami has certainly never been resistant to putting Metal Gear titles on different hardware; witness Twin Snakes on GameCube and Substance on Xbox. And Microsoft is likely gunning hard for the game. Also, Konami probably prefers making money to losing truckloads of it. All things considered, I'm pretty sure it's already a done deal, given the fact that we hear very credible rumors about it once a week or so."

I guess nothing spectacular has happened - the PS3 lost one more title. Of course, huge fans of the Katamari series stuck with a PS3 are probably scratching their eyes as they read this article, but hey, no one said we live in a fair world. Hope to God that PlayStation Home is good!
