Can you spell "trouble"?

You should probably know by now that Sony has just released a new firmware for its Playstation 3 console and the Japanese version of the 3.70 PSP firmware. It seems that the PS3 1.92 firmware update has some online issues and that many users got disconnected after installing it. Using the feedback received from customers and ... "internal testing" as Sony said, when announcing the 1.93 update, the producer made this decision in order to avoid PS3-branded trouble.

We'll see the "update of the update" probably in the next two days, or even today, if things go according to Sony's plan. I'm keen on the Japanese producers' consoles and titles, but I've been criticizing them a lot lately and I had good reasons to do that, as it seems that things aren't going so well in Sony's small corner of the galaxy.

It all started one week ago, when a Sony UK employee edited Halo 3's Wikipedia page, criticizing the title's graphics and saying that they look exactly like those featured in Halo 2. A few days later, complaints about the company's TV out cable surfaced, as the item was not available at the PSP Slim's launch. Yesterday, we've received word of a fire, started by a Playstation console, according to the firemen and today we were stunned to see a Halo 3 trailer being shown on a PS3 at Sony's official booth.

Now, the latest console's firmware has issues and it has just been launched... I'm not criticizing anyone here, just telling you the facts, but things seem a bit chaotic down at the Sony HQ. To top all of these mishaps, the latest sales figures show that the PSP was surpassed by the Xbox 360 and the future doesn't look too good for the famous company and their once reigning consoles.
