Get Wild Arms, Patapon, Piyotama, and Patchwork Heroes, for free plus other deals

Sony continues to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of its PlayStation Vita handheld console and has just confirmed that owners of the device in North America will be able to download four classic games for free, in the form of Wild Arms, Patapon, Piyotama, and Patchwork Heroes.

The PS Vita came out in February last year in territories like North America and Europe, and Sony is currently celebrating the anniversary of the handheld gaming device by running various sales.

A new impressive deal is now offered to PS Vita owners in North America, as they can download four classic games for free, in the form of Wild Arms (PS one Classic), Patapon (PSP), Piyotama (PSP), Patchwork Heroes (PSP).

Besides these free titles, other PS Vita games have received 30% discounts, for regular owners of the console, and 50% discounts, for those who also have a premium PlayStation Plus subscription.

Three other titles also saw their prices slashed, in the form of FIFA Soccer 13, Madden NFL 13, and Oddworld: Strangers Wrath.

The discounts and free games are available starting today, March 5, once the PS Store in North America receives its regular update, and lasts until March 11.

As such, PlayStation Vita owners will have to take advantage of these great deals until then. As of yet, it's unclear if the free titles will also be offered in territories as well.
