Sony has just posted the new things that are coming for its PlayStation Plus subscribers in North America today, January 15, confirming that Darksiders 1 will join the Instant Game Collection, and that they can take advantage of a 50% discount for Stardrone Extreme, a special PS Vita title.

PlayStation Plus members have been on the receiving end of many great deals in recent months, as Sony wants to make sure they're getting their money's worth in terms of free games, big discounts, and access into beta stages like the God of War: Ascension multiplayer one.

This week, a brand new title joins the Instant Game Collection, as Sony has confirmed that Darksiders 1 will be free to download and play for PS Plus members in North America.

What's more, they can also score a 50 percent price cut for Stardrone Extreme, a new and intriguing PS Vita game.

Check out the full details about the two new items for PS Plus subscribers below, via PS blog.

Darksiders (PS3)

Free for PS Plus members Take control of War, one of the fabled Horseman of the Apocalypse, and rain down destruction with a combination of brutal attacks and supernatural abilities. Darksiders’ true appeal however isn’t just in its visceral action. With an emphasis on open world traversal and mind-bending dungeons to explore, Darksiders delivers a true adventure, supported by the amazing art styling of comic book art genius Joe Madureira.

Stardrone Extreme

50% off for PS Plus members (Original price: $3.99; PS Plus Price: $2.00) Don’t miss out on this great deal for the PS Vita charmer Stardrone Extreme. Each level starts by aiming and shooting yourself out of a cannon into outer space. Your spaceship stays in motion from this point on, and it’s your job to attach to nearby gravity beacons to navigate its flight path. While tethered to a beacon, you’ll swing and attempt to circle the beacon until you release and slingshot yourself further. This core mechanic brings together elements of shoot ‘em up, pinball, collecting objects; all in one unique game.

The two new deals will go live later today, January 15, alongside the regular PS Store update.

What's more, Sony also confirmed that Infamous 2 was taken out of the PS Plus Instant Game Collection last week due to an error and that it should come back online today.
