PQI Corporation, a leading manufacturer of digital media solutions, today released Card Drive U510, a portable storage device with embedded innovative USB technology and futuristic design. The manufacturer said that its latest Card Drive comes preloaded with USB Notebook Professional - Personal File Manager software, and, moreover, the users can configure the drive using a dedicated file synchronization center which will enable the user to store particular kinds of data such as personal emails, IE favorites, web accounts and many others. PQI created a drive which resembles to a traditional credit card, 0.12 inches sized, offering, in spite of its dimensions, a storage capacity of no less than 16GB. Moreover, Card Drive is based on a dedicated, and patented, PQI technology - Intelligent Stick, being also compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 ports. "For consumers who crave for flash based storage device with large storage capacity and sleek design, Card Drive is the perfect choice," said Lindy Chan, Product Manager of USB Drive at PQI. Because it holds a 16GB storage capacity, the Card Drive is one of the most powerful USB drives available on the market. Furthermore, I am very happy to discover a manufacturer who thought about other 'security' capabilities such as shock proof, but also low power consumption. PQI Card Drive will be available in silver, grey and limited soccer ball edition. Available now are 1GB models at $49.99, 2GB at $89.99 and 4GB at $139.99 (MSRP). The 8GB and 16GB version of Card Drive(TM) U510 are expected to ship early next month with suggested retail prices to be announced.
