It appears that ASUS isn't the only company getting ready to launch a new batch of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 video controllers, as POV and TGT have similar designs, feeling that enthusiasts could do better than the reference model.

When NVIDIA released the GeForce GTX 580 graphics card, it was very well received and proved to be the fastest single-GPU card on the market.

Of course, considering the GF110 processor and the 1.5 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, this was hardly surprising.

Then again, even though 1.5 GB is massive by any account, some hardware makers figured it isn't enough for top-tier enthusiasts.

ASUS was already revealed to have gone above and beyond those specs, and it looks like TGT and Point of View did the same.

What the two prepared is a certain pair of models that might very well show up for sale online sooner rather than later.

It is also likely that they will be put on display at the upcoming Computex 2011 show in Taipei, Taiwan.

Both of them are GTX 580 boards with 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM and factory overclocking, in tune with their Charged and UltraCharged monikers.

The former has the GPU, shader and memory frequencies of 810 MHz, 1,620 MHz and 4,008 MHz, while the latter has the chip, the 512 CUDA cores and the VRAM working at 841 MHz, 1,682 MHz and 4,104 MHz, respectively.

Both feature a memory interface of 384 bits and the same video outputs (dual-DVI and HDMI), plus SLI support. They have yet to be priced, but listings should unravel this last mystery soon enough.

Either way, one should not expect them to be even remotely affordable, meaning that just a handful of enthusiasts will even get one.

On the flip side, most mainstream boards can already handle today's games well enough, so such beasts only really have meaning when paired with multi-display setups and the highest possible graphical settings.
