PNY has just announced the introduction of two new graphics cards that are based on the Nvidia GTX 560 Ti design. Both of these solutions feature higher than stock GPU and memory speeds in order to deliver improved performances.

Judging by their aspect, the two PNY graphics cards doesn't look any different than all the other GF114-based solutions as the company has decided to go with Nvidia's reference cooling system.

The operating frequencies of the video cards have been improved, however, in order to allow for better performance in games and other graphics intensive apps.

As a result, the top-of-the-line GTX 560 OC Ti 2 now has its GPU operating at 900MHz while the memory runs at 1053MHz (4212MHz data rate).

Its smaller brother, the slightly slower PNY GeForce GTX 560 OC Ti, drops these frequencies at 850MHz for the core and 1026MHz for the memory (4102MHz data rate), just slightly higher than Nvidia's default 822/1002MHz clocks.

The rest of the specifications stick to Nvidia's guidelines and the cards feature 1GB of GDDR5 video buffer that is linked to the GF114 GPU via a 256-bit memory interface.

Speaking of the GF114 core, this packs 384 streaming processors, 64 texturing units as well as 32 ROP units and its power consumption is estimated at 170W when fully loaded.

Power is provided by two 6-pin PCI Express power plugs and PNY recommends customers to use at least a 500W PSU with 30A of current on the 12V rail.

Both PNY cards feature a pair of dual-link DVI video outputs as well as an HDMI 1.4a connector.

Pricing for the PNY GeForce GTX 560 OC Ti has been established at about 230 Euros while the GTX 560 OC Ti 2 should be available for just 10 Euros more. The two PNY video cards should make their way into stores as we speak. (via HardwareLuxx)
