PNY has released a flash drive that bears the symbol of the year 2015, a two-fold one in fact, with one large and one not so large goat staring at the sky while facing away from each other.
Called HP v231w, the flash drive is the latest addition to the Chinese Zodiac USB drive line-up. It also looks a lot grander than it runs.
While the capacity range is of 16GB to 64GB, you'll have time to grow wrinkles while you copy anything larger than a videoclip to it.
I'm saying that because the flash drive only has support for USB 2.0 speeds, not USB 3.0. Meaning that the top transfer rate is 480 Mbps instead of 5 Gbps.
At least the exterior is protected against both dust and water. You should still avoid dumping it in a lake or tub of course, but rain and spills won't ruin the storage device.
Finally, the list of supported operating systems is what you would expect: Windows 2000/ XP / Vista, 7, 8, Mac OS: 10.3 and later.
Unfortunately, the price of the HP v231w was not included in the product announcement. Two years warranty is included with every purchase though.
