Storage and memory company PNY seems to be on a product launch spree. Unfortunately for the everyday tech enthusiast, the products launches are focusing on design and not so much on technical specifications.
The new product announced today is a stylish and quite small USB flash drive. The official denomination is PNY
Mini Hook Attaché.
There are four versions available with a minimum capacity of 4 GB and a maximum of 32 GB.
Fortunately for the average customer, the new PNY Mini Hook Attaché is a USB 3.0
drive that will deliver decent performance.
Rated at 8 MB/s for writing and 24 MB/s for reading, the 4 GB and 8 GB versions are acceptable, but still slower than many USB 2.0 drives out in the market right now.
The 16 GB and 32 GB models are rated at 10 MB/s write speed and 32 MB/s read speed.
On the up side, the PNY Mini Hook Attaché is quite small which makes it easier to use whit less chances of accidentally hitting and breaking it.
The capless design will rid us of the stress of not losing the cap and PNY also back it up with a long 5-year warranty.
