Few people have mentioned that "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", Johnny Depp's latest fantasy movie is a Plan B project at Warner Bros, produced by Grey from Paramount and Zanuck from Warner Bros. and directed by Tim Burton.
The company behind this success, owned by Brad Pitt and his estranged wife Jennifer Aniston, has split last month.
The couple's film production company signed a three-year agreement to develop movies with Viacom's Paramount Pictures Studio, moving from Time Warner's Warner Bros, according to Bloomberg News.
"We're going to try to make Paramount a great home to creative talent", said Paramount Chief Executive Officer Brad Grey, who formed the company with the two Hollywood stars when he was chairman of the Brillstein-Grey talent management firm.
Some of the Plan B projects developed by Paramount are "Glass Castle," based on a memoir by New York columnist Jeannette Walls and "True Story," from New York Times reporter Michael Finkel, which revolves around a murder suspect who steals the writer's identity.
One of the most important project remains Martin Scorsese's new movie, "The Departed", which is due for release next year, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Mark Whalberg.
Brad Pitt is working on another Plan B film, which will remain at Warner Bros. called "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford".
Among the remaining Warner Bros projects are: "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night- Time," "The Hatfields and the McCoys" and "Shantaram".
Jennifer Aniston will continue her work with Time Warner's Warner Bros.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have confirmed in January that their four and a half years of marriage are over.
"We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate, we happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another", the couple stated.
Since than, Brad Pitt was said to have been living a romantic relationship with Angelina jolie, while Jennifer Aniston, believed to have been on the verge of a nervous breakdown, had been previously linked with actor Vince Vaughn.
